Deb is a designer, manager, and technician for theatre, themed entertainment, and live events.
Deb’s work has been seen on stages and venues in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and throughout northeast Kansas. They are currently the Technical Director and Shop Manager for Washburn University Theatre in Topeka, Kansas, where they enjoy mentoring students in design, tech, management, and coaching student shop staff.

Deb also works as a freelance set, light, and sound designer. Favorite designs include the scenic designs for Bustown at Kansas State University and for Of Mice and Men at Kalamazoo Civic Theatre, scenic and lighting design for These Shining Lives for Helen Hocker Theatre, and the scenic and sound design for Gruesome Playground Injuries at Washburn University.

Additionally, Deb is proud to serve as Production Manager for Shades of Theatre, a company in Topeka dedicated to bringing stories by and about people who belong to historically underrepresented communities to the stage. Click here to check out the Shades website.

They also work as a rigger for Loud Productions in the Kansas City area and at the Lied Center on the University of Kansas campus.

Deb has experience as a builder, painter, srt handler, event coordinator, virtual stage manager, and AV and streaming technician.
